Randomly while I'm using my computer, it will freeze and I will have to restart it. It makes no indication of when it will freeze, and there seems to be no reason for it. It also happened on the other laptop I had. It's very annoying to have to keep restarting it.

Freezing is usually caused by overheating or a failing Power Supply Unit (PSU). Shut down the computer and blow out all fans with a can of compressed air. Start the computer and make sure all fans are spinning. Look at the label of the PSU and report the Make, Model# and Wattage. Boot into Setup (Bios) and to PC Health or some such and report the Temperatures. You can also download Speccy let it scan your system and keep an eye on the temperatures while your using it just before it freezes.
You can blow out the fans on the laptop and you may want to invest in a Laptop Cooler
