welcome

does it find problems after its done?

the power problem could have damaged your hard drive /power supply/motherboard...you name it

go to the event viewer and see what is reported

run a disk check yourself, check off the 2 boxes, and reboot

[my computer, c- drive - tools - disk check ]

IF you go to start/ run and type
cmd
hit enter
type
chkdsk /f /r
hit enter
It will say it cannot run because the disk is in use, do you want to run next time you restart? Y./N
hit Y and then enter
When you restart, be prepared to wait, let it run to completion and it should solve the problem.
The bit is not getting correctly cleared.
