Hey,

I have been having serious problems with the startup of aol. When turning on the computer, when i click on aol to start it, it takes about ten minutes for the window to open. It is not an issue of memory or cpu speed, as other programs open fine during this period.

After those ten minutes, I can open and close aol all i want and it will happen almost instantaneously. Also, I am having some issues with internet explorer (IE opens but no page will load) during this same time period, which i think are probably related. When the windows do start working, they all come at once, like a mountain of windows. It is not my internet connection, as Mozilla Firefox works during this time.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled aol a number of times. This has started happening ever since in installed SP2 on my computer. I have scanned for viruses and spyware using Mcaffe, adaware, and spybot, and removed all the issues which came up through there. Thanks for your help!

This computer is a pentium 4 2 ghz running SP2 and has 512 mb ram.
