Please Help!! Someone dropped my Hp dv2000 laptop on the floor and the screen stopped work. Instead of doing the smart thing i was a retard and decided to take it apart and try to replace the screen myself. when i unplugged the screen then plugged it back in the screen turned on yay right ?? wrong now there is a "file Error" when starting up due to new software found it says. now windows wont open . any advise or should i take it to and expert and spend a fortune? thanks for any help

ok i will do my best (sorry im a novice:) ) it is a HP pavillion dv2000with intel centrino duo my Os is windows Vista Home Premium. I dont know if those were the specs you needed but I dont know much else about it.

Thank you for your replies I have been on the phone with tech support and that is exactly what they told me to do. now i just need to go get a jump drive to back up all my files before restoring it. thanks for your help
