Hello. I'm not sure if I'm posting in the right thread and if it's wrong then pleae move it to the appropriate thread.

I currently having a problem on my Window Home Premium with the registry with Base Filtering System and Diagnostic Policy not working. These not working leading to other problems with my laptop in the network going off and then crashing my laptop and firewall not working. I have done:

• sfc/scan now and doesn't pick up anything in the scan
• Tried to start them in regedit and getting error 5 (access denied) and 87 on BFE.
• System Restore back to fix it... but still the same problem .
• Used Malwarebytes, Microsoft Security Essentials and CCleaner (to fix registry problem.
• Re-installing the wifi hardware and reinstalling
• I have used fixit and didn't fix anything but shown up with firewall trouble
• I have used CMD on Admin to try the network add local and I get saying it's already been done.

I have done so many things but the system still does these things. I just want to know how to get the registry fixed without doing a system format to get a clean fresh reg as that isn't an option with this computer.


I hope someone can help me to try and fix this problem

CCleaner cleaner is safe. Using the Registry Cleaner can lead to problems. Possibly using this or a counterpart started the problem. If I were in your shoes, I would save all my personal data as a precaution and get the free Windows 10 upgrade. In no case download available 3rd party fixes for either program. They're loaded with ad-ware or worse.

I have the free Windows upgrade but does the registry go with the new Windows 10 that is the main problem and don't want to update and I still have the problem with the laptop.
