Hello there, guys.
I did not like to start a topic equal to others ones (as the "Blue Screen" topic of user vonte1 is very similar to my problem). But i have my specifics hardwares and softwares as any other user. So i decided to start a new topic. Sorry if i'm wrong.

Well, I run Vista Ultimate more than 1 year. Always running clean and perfectly. A couple of months ago it starts to reboot by itself. After this, i just select "run windows vista" (don't choose "run on safe mode") and it starts again with no problem. Well, it's happening often now. I just don't know why. :4-dontkno By the way, i just got a really BlueScreen twice. Always restarts and doesn't show the BlueScreen.

My PC: Windows Vista Ultimate SP1, Intel D945GNT MoBo, Intel Pentium D930 3.0Mhz, ATI Radeon X1600 VE Video Card, 3GB DDR2 RAM, 1 HD 160GB Seagate SATA-II, 1 HD 500GB Seagate SATA-II.

My BSOD:
Problem signature:
Problem Event Name: BlueScreen
OS Version: 6.0.6001.2.1.0.256.1
Locale ID: 1046

Additional information about the problem:
BCCode: 100000d1
BCP1: 2B335095
BCP2: 00000002
BCP3: 00000001
BCP4: 8C3E8585
OS Version: 6_0_6001
Service Pack: 1_0
Product: 256_1

Any help? :redface:

Hi - Bugcheck 0xd1 = kernel-mode driver tried to access paged memory at a time when it should not have (IRQL too high).

Please follow the instructions -

Collection of dumps & system files - http://www.techsupportforum.com/1871981-post2.html

Attach resulting zip files to next post.

Run the Vista Driver Verifier - http://www.techsupportforum.com/2110308-post4.html

Regards. . .

hello, jcgriff2! :wink:
well, i've got the dump files. tried to run the System Health Report but got error when it tries to generate the log. tried a lot of times and couldn't get it. :rolleyes:
and about the Vista Driver Verifier, i've done it and when i reboot, i got the error screen and couldn't log on. then i did through the safe mode.

well, i've just realized that my Vista Ultimate is restarting/crashing by itself when i set it to "sleep mode" and then "wake up". after i "wake up", some minutes/hours later it restarts/crashes. i've done a test and let my pc torned on for 3 days (without setting it to sleep mode) and Vista goes ok.

i hope you can help me to solve this problem.
thank you so much. :pray:

Hi -

The trouble with logon after driver verifier means that it flagged a driver. The dumps will have add'l info. Don't worry about the PERFMON report for now.

1 more item, please -
START | dxdiag | bottom-center of screen "save all as text.."

Please attach it to your next post. Thanks.

Please go back & re-run the batch script.

It needs 5-10 minutes to run. The log shows it ended < 2 minutes with 0x0 completion code.

jcgriff2

.
I ran the batch script again.
see attached files.
well, as i told before... i thought it was crashing due to "sleep mode". but yesterday it rebooted again with no sleep mode activated. :4-dontkno

hope you can help me out to solve it. thanks. cheers. :pray:

Hi -

Thank you for the files.

I ran 26 dumps and all but 1 had the same bugcheck -

(25) 0xd1 w/ parm 3 = 0x1 - kernel driver tried to write to pageable memory
(1) 0xbe - driver tried to write to read only memory

Probable cause of all 26 BSODs
Code:
[font=lucida console]
[B]Hotspot Shield Helper[/B]
HssDrv.sys   Thu Feb 05 13:55:10 2009 (498B603E)

e100b325.sys Thu Feb 22 10:17:19 2007 (45DDDE2F)

[B]Kaspersky Internet Security - KIS[/B]
klif.sys     Tue May 15 01:40:47 2007 (4649720F)
klim6.sys    Wed Apr 04 03:59:01 2007 (461384F5)
[/font]
HotSpot - you are not alone. Many BSODs - http://gadget-reviews.info/2009/02/03/hssdrvsys-causing-blue-screen-error.aspx

That driver is in \windows\system32 - but I looked througfh AutoRuns and did not see it. Driverquery shows it loaded and running.v This product should be removed from your system.
Intel - http://downloadcenter.intel.com/

KIS has to go. It is too old and like other Internet Security suites, it does not play well with Vista.

KIS Removal - http://support.kaspersky.com/faq/?qid=208279463

Re-boot after removal; reset Windows Firewall to default settings.

While I was in your files, I noticed other drivers that s/b updated -
Code:

[B]NextSensor[/B]
nxsIO32.sys  Mon Feb 20 11:11:19 2006 (43FA1457)[/font]

I noticed that you like system utility programs. Check out the SysInternals Suite, free from Microsoft TechNet. All executable (EXE) files - no installation. Mark Russinovich updates many frequently. For temp monitoring, try SpeedFan. SysInternals & SpeedFan should run at elevated admin level (RIGHT-click, run as admin).

SysInternals - http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb842062.aspx

SpeedFan v4.38 - http://www.almico.com/sfdownload.php

That is it for now. Hope this helps. Bugcheck summary below; dump logs attached.

i updated my Intel Pro Adapter driver, my Sigmatel Audio driver. Also removed the HotSpot Shield, removed the Kaspersky, removed NextSensor, removed HWInfo32.

Hi -

The bugcheck on the latest BSOD was 0x8e w/ 0xc0000005 exception.

Try this to get rid of Elby and others below - http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301

Code:
[FONT=Lucida Console]
Cinemsup.SYS Fri Jul 19 06:10:18 2002 (3D380FBA)

[B]Intel PRO/100 VE Network Connection[/B]
e100b325.sys Fri Nov 16 10:53:32 2007 (473DE72C)

ElbyCDFL.sys Tue May 03 08:34:02 2005 (427799EA)
ElbyCDIO.sys Thu Apr 21 04:40:36 2005 (42679134)

pfc.sys      Tue Jun 17 18:39:42 2003 (3EEFC2DE)

pcouffin.sys Tue Dec 05 06:39:53 2006 (457584B9)

spmi.sys     Wed Jan 02 08:35:37 2008 (477BBD59)

VX6000Xp.sys Tue Dec 05 22:32:13 2006 (457663ED)
VX6KCamd.sys Tue Dec 05 22:31:04 2006 (457663A8)[/FONT]
Intel NIC needs to be updated - http://www.intel.com/support/network/adapter/pro100/pro100vm/sb/cs-008364.htm

I found only 1 site for this driver -
Code:
[font=lucida console]
spmi.sys     Wed Jan 02 08:35:37 2008 (477BBD59)

Функция NtEnumerateKey (47) перехвачена (8056F0B0->F8450CA2),
 перехватчик[COLOR=Red] spmi.sys[/COLOR]
я даже файл такой найти не могу. как так? :(

hello, jcgriff2.
here's what i've done:

- uninstalled "Clone CD", then the files "ElbyCDFL.sys" and "ElbyCDIO.sys" have gone;

- deleted "pccouffin.sys" (that's from VSO image resizer, uninstalled the program but the file *.sys was still there, the i deleted it manually);

- i've updated my Intel NIC with the last software within the link you told me but the driver ("e100b325.sys" file) still says it's 11/16/07 (don't know what to do about it);

- i couldn't found the "spmi.sys" file;

- "VX6000Xp.sys" and "VX6KCamd.sys" drivers are up to date;

- don't know what to about "Cinemsup.sys" and "pfc.sys" files.

Wait your help one more time.
Thank you so much. :pray:

Just to add in, you can use AVG for your anti-virus. It is free, but very good. And you should also set Windows Firewall back to defaults.

Start > type "firewallsettings.exe" > click on "firewallsettings.exe" above > Go to Advanced Tab > Set to default from there.
