the extended test seems to be sticking at 10% the other tests work fine ie the standard and basic

the test has 3 types extended standard and basic. standard+basic = good. the extended test = either taking 2 Long or sticking, i don't know

I have never seen a windows memory diagnostic. Usually the diagnostic programs are added by the computer manufacturer. What make and model of computer do you have?

Ok. I recommend waiting for another member to reply. One of them will recommend another memory diagnostic program. I forget what they recommend but someone will respond I am sure.

hi try this http://www.memtest.org/ download and burn to disc use imgburn to do this then put it in your drive reboot and run for as long as you can but a minimum of 4 hours

In short, if it's failing the test, then you have a problem. Try the other memory test that was recommended. FWIW - Toshiba BIOS's work differently than most others, so I've seen a lot of issues with running tests on them.
