Windows Media Player Stream

I have always watched NASA TV on WMP, and it has always had a long delay (30-45 seconds). I played the exact same stream in VideoLAN and noticed that WMP is around 30 seconds behind WMP. Does WMP player cache the stream for this long? Is there any way to stop it, so that it plays the stream without the delay?

Here's a better understanding of delays of broadcasting although its centered across Media Center: Broadcasting Delay

Go to the Reducing the Player Buffer section, try it and see if that helps.

Yes, there's a delay thats preset.
