Windows Media Player 10 Error

Hello. i was using kaspersky anti-virus for my computer, then when finished installation i had to reboot. i did reboot, then when i got to the logon screen it restarted. i did again to see what happend. then i went to safe mode, deleted the programme and it came to one thing that said in the installation i think, delete some more stuff from your hard drive that kaspersky had saved. and it was, but it was looking to me that it deleted some important info aswell, not my documents but programme scripts or somthing. i rebooted. everything was fine, except, some scripts were broke and errors... that seemed odd. so i had to re-install the programmes again. that worked fine. and then, windows media player 10, error, it sais this '' an internal application error has occured'' and i tried un-installing again and insttalling.. same thing, it wont load. and another thing is that, i have lost paint . and i have been going to the add/remove windows components , that did nothing much. and system tools dont work! the system restore does not work! the icon is stilll there, but it wont load!

please help!

many thanks!!!

Uninstall kaspresky. Check for malware. Clcik on greyknights link below and follow the steps. And then do a repair installation of your operating system . This will be a good guide to you. Then you can reinstall your kaspersky AV software.
still in the process. i need detailed help about repair for windows xp home edition sp2
neeed help plesae!
Set the computer to boot from cd first in the BIOS
Place the xp cd in cdrom and reboot
Boot from the xp cd and choose install
Ignore the first repair option and continue with install
When windows finds the previous installation and offers to repair
then do the repair
If you have xp sp2 installed it needs to be incorporated into your xp disk or it will not offer the repair option only the clean install

How to perform a Repair Installation of Windows XP
