I have been a bit naughty and used a registry key to validate my copy of windows so that i could use wmp 11, (which I downloaded here)but I needed sp2 for it to work and since I don't have it, it has messed up my pc.
When I try to log on, I get this message:
A problem is preventing Windows from accurately checking the license for this computer. Error Code: 0x80004005
when I hit ok, windows logs off.
It is the same in safe mode, so it doesn't seem like I can delete the registry key using regedit in windows. The only thing I can think of is deleting the registry key using the recovery console, but I don't know how to do this or whether its even possible.
Any ideas would really be appreciated.
