Are your talking about IE or Windows Explorer?

Also is if it Win Explorer does it attempt to load from A giving an error or does it just spin it and show something else like his Documents or C Drive?

Is he using a antivirus program?

Sometimes these programs like to have a look at the floppy drive when you least expect it.......:D

I am not sure how to fix that but I have a reason for it doing that. As far as I know Microsoft has programmed the explorer and my computers to check for a floppy disk the first time you open it once you boot the machine.:bandit:
