I had some issues earlier, ie, firefox being redirected to other sites, could not run defrag -- so ran malware software and found a virus or trojan which was removed -- now firefox is not redirected and I can run defrag -- problem is, after the softare was cleaned the virus or whatever, it optimized the registry and windows settings. Now the windows explorer is running extremely slow -- when clicking on a new folder, it takes5-10 seconds for the folder to open. Does not matter if I click on the same one several times -- it is like the system has to re-read all the information in the folder from scratch. Any ideas? Do I need to run HiJack?
