HI Guys, Thanks for being here with your solutions for mere mortals like myself.
Yep, I'm getting the "Windows Explorer has stopped working", then it makes you reboot.
It does this continuously and Vista is running slower than my 95 year old granny.
I read your idea of running the "scannow", and this is what I got:

Windows resource protection did not find any integrity problems.

So now I'm completely stumped.
I've run all the diagnostics and defragged also...
Any more ideas??
Kindest Regards, Jo:heartlove

Hi There,
Thanks for your response.
I did run the event mngr and there was nothing with red x's.
In the end I went through and deleted a few things I wasn't using.
Got rid of flashplayer and some javascript.Installed the latest versions.
Then did a system restore to a time when it was flying nicely.
All good now.
Like we've all got spare time to sit and nut this stuff out.....in the end we're guessing aren't we?Process of elimination.
Kindest Regards and thanks again , Jo x

PS will probably be back in the future !!!:4-dontkno
