"Windows couldn't automatically bind the IP protocol stack to the network adapter."
Hi,
I'd appreciate some help. I'm a computer dunce, and I don't know what I did to my system.
I run Windows 7 on a Toshiba Satellite with a Realtek wireless card. I ran ad-aware to clean up my system. It brought up a list of many proposed changes (cookies, registry), and I approved it without looking closely.
After it removed the problems, my wireless internet ceased to function, but the ethernet cable still works. The Windows diagnostic states:
"The Windows wireless service is not running on this computer."
and
"Windows couldn't automatically bind the IP protocol stack to the network adapter."
I downloaded and ran the most current drivers from Realtek and the Windows Update, and nothing changed. I've read some posts where people think this kind of thing is a registry problem, but I have no idea.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Ken
