Windows 7 / Vista boot problems

728 Views 1 Reply 2 Participants Last post by  jcgriff2
have Vista in my computer, decided to try out Windows 7, put that on my other hard drive instead in case I didnt like it and wanted to stick with Vista.

Well recently I decided to stick with Windows 7, when I formatted the drive with Vista on it (did it from Windows 7 OS and all including partitioning it), upon restarting my computer, Windows 7 would not load. my assumption is the boot files may of been on the vista drive or something.

any suggestions on what to do? boot file missing?

Hi -

I would suggest that you format the HDD again - but use KillDisk to do so. Then re-install Windows 7 from the DVD.

KillDisk -

Make bootable KillDisk ISO CD w/ ImgBurn -
ImgBurn -

Regards. . .
