I recently bought two computers, one a desktop and one a laptop. Both with windows 7 64bit and both fairly powerful dual core machines. Both are incredibly powerful machines and run new games well. They have one thing in common though, they can't run dota (A mod for warcraft 3) properly at all for some reason.
I've tried asking around for help on various forums but with no luck. Basically, this is game that should be running fine on both machines and for some reason won't. I've tried following problem solving guides, formatting, turning everything off, reinstalling dir x and reinstalling gfx drivers etc. But with no luck whatsoever. What should I do?

I have spent upwards of 50hours in total trying to solve this problem on these two pc's put together. Right now, I just really want warcraft 3 to work properly on this machina, it's driving me crazy!

Your SysSpec.zip is a link to majorgeeks and the Specy.exe file.

The DXDiag tells me it's a AMD E-350 Processor, which has the graphics on the CPU die while very good for integrated graphics I suspect the mod doesn't like the limited capabilities of it.
I downloaded the sys spec tool from a link on this site, there should be an rtf in the zip with a pic of my specs. Is there anything I can do, if it's a problem with the gfx card? It's supposed to have 5times as much ram as my previous gfx which ran dota fine. I showed my computer to a friend and he told me it's my computer 'stealing ram' but he hasn't given me any further info on his thoughts. Can you help me with some advice of some sort?

There is not a Gfx card it's integrated on to the E-350 CPU, it's not a problem as in something is defective just that your running into the limitations of the platform.

The amount of ram is only one part of a video spec.

Not sure what your friend means by stealing ram the video ram is system ram.

It depends on what functionality the game needs, if the mod was written to shaders for example that are not available on the E series then it won't work.

You could try uninstalling and reinstalling to make sure it's not a corrupt file.
Is it possible that installing xp could solve the problem? My gfx card scores 5.8 points in the windows in the windows system test, is it an issue of it not supporting some things used by old programmes?

I did a performance test that I downloaded off the net ram, cpu did well. The gfx did poor in categories directx10 and complex 3d graphics. This is the route to my problem I'm guessing.

One last question, on my desktop there's a sticker saying the gfx card supports direct x 11 but when I ran the 3d performance test, it told me that it only average 2fps when using direct x. Is it me that's doing something wrong or is a case of false advertising?

You keep calling it a card, a card would refer to a separate piece of hardware with it's own memory and functions. What you have is the new generation integrated video that uses a portion of the CPU and the system memory for video. It is better than integrated was in the past but still not as good as a discrete(separate) video card with it's own memory and GPU.

but it has 7 times as much dedicated memory as previous cards I've run war3 with?
