I have an ASUS gaming laptop with Windows 10. The login screen has gotten increasingly slow over time. I always keep my computer in sleep mode when I'm not using it, so I don't recall how quickly I can log in from a restart.

However, when I came back from sleep today, it took over a full minute or two for my computer to recognize that I had clicked it to bring up the box where I enter my PIN. It then took a while to recognize that I clicked in that box, and there's almost always a delay when entering each digit. While all of this happens, I can move the mouse cursor normally, and it's very responsive.

Once I log back in, my computer behaves normally albeit slower than it did in the past. One possible culprit is Trend Micro Internet Security, which optimized my startup by delaying certain programs by varying seconds. I can try disabling this and seeing what happens, but I'm open to ideas in the meantime.
