window won't load

It is other window 7 or Vista and every time I have tried to turn it on it goes into startup recovery and nothing loads please help mw

Hi could you be a little clearer do you mean if you install either win 7 or vista it goes to the repair screen straight after install,have you tried running a start up repair from the disc

It was pree installed on my laptop and whenever I powered it on it said to run the start repair nothing would load
What is the make and model,did you make a recovery disc

I got it Saturday and I think its working itself out but thanks for helping
So is it now running a repair or has it decided to boot,if you have not done so make the recovery disc there will be info in the manual on how to do it for your machine

Thanks any idea how long it will take?
it can vary could be 30 mins or up to 2hrs it depends on what discs you use cd or dvd cd uses more discs and how the recovery proceedure is set up for the machine this was one of the reasons I asked for the make and model it helps to get the info

It's a Sony vio and its fairly new
Ok you may need 2 dvd + or - r,to make the discs go to start or the windows orb (bottom left of the screen ) choose all programs then scroll down to vaio recovery centre and click or double click (you know what your set for with this ) a new window should open click on make recover discs put you first disc in your drive and click start in the recovery program and then follow the prompts from the program

I don't have any recovery disks
I neglected to get them made
Hi now this is becoming confusing I asked in post 6 if things were getting sorted please answer questions that are put to you as they are put to you so that we are on the same track,what is the situation re your machine and not booting

It is still searching for problems
Ok so the repair is at least running, I will check back tommorow as it is midnight here and I have a few more replies to do before I head off for the night if the repair completes succesfully follow the above steps and make the recovery discs, if not post and i will pick it up when I get back online

The repair program is still working if it isn't finished within 24hours should I press cane or jusr let it be?
