Hello my name is Tinkie I have the register machine and I had it scan my computer. The problem is that in my custom control I had one unresolved or shall I say unrepair problem that the register machine did not fix. It say's Window\system 32\macromed\flash\flash 6.ocx -default. It was at an high risk priority. I also have the sims game on my computer also and it comes up with cyclic redunancy and I cannot even load my game on here also. It this the part of my problem with my computer? And if so can I get some information on how to fix it. I also have norton anti virus and it didn't detected anything like an virus or worm nor trojans. Please help me I am lost without my sims and this window.:4-dontknow
Thank you
Tinkie

Hello Tinkie, Welcome to TSF!

You need to go to the Adobe® website and download the latest FlashPlayer.

Adobe® Flash Player Version 9. (click the coloured link.)

Please Note: Installation of the Google™ Toolbar is not necessary for Flash Player to operate.

Post back with the results.

Kind Regards,

The cyclic redundancy check error indicates a bad spot on your hard drive.

1. Click Start, select Run.

2. Then type "cmd" in the box (without the quotes).

3. Click Ok

4. In the command prompt that opens, type in the following command:

chkdsk c: /f /r

(Assuming it's C: drive you want to check)

5. Press "Enter".

You will probably be presented with "Chkdsk cannot run because the volume is in use by another process. Would you like this volume to be checked the next time the system restarts?" type in "y" (without the quotes).

6. Press "Enter".

7. Reboot and let chkdsk do it's thing. The process can take up to an hour to complete.
