Just wondering if I'm alone here. It seems every laptop I've seen has the option to disable the synaptic touchpad automatically when a USB mouse is plugged in... Except mine. I routinely switch between "desktop mode" with my mouse and "travel mode" using the touchpad and its a real PITA if I forget to re-enable the touchpad before leaving. In fact I've spent all afternoon searching the web for answers. Everybody seems to be asking how to disable the touchpad and not about having it automatically toggle with plugging in a mouse. I've tried multiple synaptics drivers to no avail. Is it just a win64 thing, or...?? My laptop is a Gateway NV52 with Windows 7 64-bit running Synaptics 15.2.7 driver package. :4-dontkno

I know the Sony , toshiba and HP laptops dont do that as I have all of them and a USB mouse

is there a F key that will do that - I know on the toshiba it does that - not on it right now but F9 or F11 if memory serves will disable the touch pad
