see if the autoexec.nt is in that folder. if not copy it from c:\windows\repair to c:\windows\system32 and see if that works.
Win XP Application run / Install error!!
While trying to run or install from CD, the folowing error comes
16 bit Windows subsystem,,,,,,,,,,,
C:\Windoes\System32\autoexec.nt.. The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS ans Microsoft Window applications. Choose close to terminate.....
OS: Windows XP Prof. Ver.5.1 2600 SP1 built 2600
any ideas???

Thanx 4 da reply.....that file is not there for sure.......I'll try to copy from //repair..later as i am not in that comp now.....
