I need help!!! I recieved the following error message when I power on my windows 7 PC.
I/o error.
Win Boot Mgr Error 0xc00000e9: Unexpected I/O error

Here is a picture

Anyways, I narrowed down the problem to a secondary harddrive on the computer. I was wondering if this means that harddrive is broken or something else is up. I just want to know if it is recoverable.

Hi, and welcome to TSF.

First of all.. The bump is used only for periods of 72 hours.

Second: When you remove the secondary HDD, does the problem still occur? It sould be recoverable, though you need the nessesary tools to do it. Which includes software to recover the HDD and other tools.

I'm sorry for the early bump.
Yes the computer works fine once I remove the harddrive. Would it be cheaper obtaining the software or bring it to bestbuy/computer specialist?

Obtaining the hardware used to externaly connect the HDD is quite easy and cheap to get ( I don't know the exact price ). And the software to recover it can be obtained for free.

You should go to a shop to a shop which sells dockings for external Hard Drives. connect the HDD AFTER you've started the computer normally.

Than download the EASEUS Data recovery.

This link goes to the software you have to pay for, BUT, if you just download it you should get a 30 day free trial or something like that. It should be enough time for you to recover everything you need.

Good Luck
