when i do a dialup to log onto the internet, it says:

remember password

i click on it but it never remembers the password. i always have to
re-enter the password.


any ideas???

If you know all of the settings remove that connection and reboot.
Then reinstall that connection again and put your settings back in.

Maybe someone else has a better idea..

Do a search for files on your computer, looking for " *.pwl " without the quotes. Also, do you enter a password (or press enter) when your system boots into windows? Or do you press escape or cancel at the login window? Do you even get a login window?

i have a net card installed but i do not have it on a network at this time. i click on cancel when windows boots.

Instead of selecting cancel, go ahead and login. Then see if the dial-up screen remembers your password.
