I have a Dell Inspiron laptop running win XP home ver 2002 SP 3 w/ intel pent 1.6 Ghz, 757Mhz & 1.25 G of ram. I installed Win 7 pro 32 bit student media on a seperate drive partition (104 GB) apempting to make a dual boot system. The install went without incident. When i try to boot Win 7 I get the winload.exe is missing or corrupt message. I have tried the repair from the DVD, checked the hard drive for errors and run the memory test with no help.
XP still works fine. The winload file is present in \windows\system32\winload.exe of the Win 7 partition.

PS: I ran all the preinstall stuff that microsoft recomends befor installing.

Tnx, corky513
