I was wondering if anyone knows the run command for win. 2000 for the selective startup. I have things that I don't want to start auto when I boot up. Also does everyone that has 2000 have like 24 processes going on, not appl. but processes. It takes a little chunk of memory, didn't know if they were all necessary to keep windows stable thanks.

MSconfig to configure startup events.

As for the processes thats about right, I have anywhere from 20 to 30 at any given time. Just depends on what you have running, ie anti-virus, firewalls, things like that are all extra processes, not to mention what Windows itself loads.
