Hi all, I just picked up a commission doing some stuff for the United Way, and am going to need some mobility.
If I add a 512 stick of RAM to this, do you think it will comfortably run Dreamweaver and Excel?

do you think this is a better product? (stats are pretty similar, except this one has a slower 4200 rpm hard drive, and is sempron 2800 instead of celeron M)

Hey - that's my notebook!

I'm sitting here typing on that Acer 3002! I just got it two weeks ago & I just use it for Internet, Excel, Word, a little photo editing. It's just the living room computer, networked to the PC at the other end of the house.

So far it's pretty nice. I think a memory bump would be helpful. It's sometimes a bit sluggish coming out of Standby mode.

The screen isn't the best as far as off-angle viewing goes, especially in brighter conditions. But the brightness can be cranked up further than my Gateway, so it makes up for it to a point.

All in all, a very good deal. I paid about $670 at a local dealer, before tax.
