Currently I have 2X 512 PC2-4200 sticks.
I was looking to buy 2X PATRIOT 1GB 240PIN DDR2 SDRAM 667MHZ PC2-5300.

I have a hp slimline s7700n computer and the memory specs are:

Maximum memory allowed- 2 GB (2 x 1 GB)
Speed supported- PC2-4200 MB/sec
Type- 240 pin, DDR2 SDRAM

My question is will the memory sticks that i am looking to buy work on my motherboard since the speed of the ones i want to buy are 5300?

Best solution, go to Crucial's site and check what RAM is compatible with your unit.

go to patriot.com and see if it is compatable. check mobo manuel to see the maximum ram voltage.
