Good day,

I'm encountering a strange problem with an HP Pavillion dv4 laptop, it connects to a wireless network, but i'm not getting full internet access, surfing the net through any web browser does not work. THe only thing that works is MSN Messenger.

I've tried multiple Wireless networks and the same problem occurs.

Just wondering if anyone experienced this problem or know a solution to it

hi first check your antivirus and firewall are not blocking your browsers access to the web

thanks for the info, turned out to be mcaffee that was blocking internet

hi your welcome just a note for the future mcafee,norton, and many others cause no end of problems so be prepared for that possibility alternately use some of the free options and save the money to boot
