[Hate me]

I have a AMD 1.1 GHZ 512 Ram, Radeon 7200, 30 GB with Windows ME, and has no Office Suite.
It is driving me crazy by hanging all the time and has been unacceptable almost from the day I bought it.

I have done the following with no success: Defrag/Disk Scan, Installed Spybot and Adware to rid computer of junk. I run a virus program (Fix It Utilities by Ontrack), and have very few icons in my tray. I also disabled the power management software

It hangs during games, when you defrag, if your surfing the net, or even if it's left alone. It appears worse if you are running multiple probrams or applications.

Hard drive is not even half full, and all current drivers have been installed.

That's typical behavior out of ME. That has quickly become common knowledge. Your best bet is to go to another OS. Maybe Windows 2000, XP, or even Linux. You're better off with 98 than you are with ME, and XP is actually better still.:tongue2:

I agree. I have two words: memory leak. ME should never have been released- over time is just starts decomposing. I'd go back to 98SE with your hardware.
