Why do i keep getting disconnected from xbox live

why am i getting disconnected from x box live very few minutes when i plugged into my router? if im pluged into my modem it dosent. my router is pretty new, i tryed being wired and wireless it both keeps getting dissconnected please help me!:wave:

Have you check that all the right ports are forwarded?

P.S. It may help if you list what router you have and if it worked ok with previous routers
