I was able to host warcraft 3 games forever. Now I can't. I port forwarded ports 6112-6119 in my router but the ports still show as closed when for so long they were open. I have no problem joining games, I just can't host them anymore. I was using ghostone/ghost++ to auto host games.

These are my specs:
Vista Ultimate 64bit
Netgear WGR614v6 wired to desktop(wireless for laptop and ps3)
Cox cable modem

other pertinent info:
-I was using a loopback adapter (worked for a while, uninstalled to see if it was the problem)
-I run AVG for my anti-virus
-I have a resident blocker (tea-timer)

Now let me explain what I've done to try to fix this:
-Reset modem and router
-port forwarded to several different ips
-set up static ip for desktop
-followed every direction on portforward.com
-turned off windows firewall
-Completely reset my router to factory default
-updated firmware for my router
-disabled UPnP
-set up DMZ server
-reset network adapter
-disabled DHCP
-checked to see if my isp was closing the ports
-Installed programs(spi port forwarding, port forward wizard, even port forward configuration from portforward.com) to open the ports (last resort)
-probably everything but the thing i need to do to fix the problem

The ports still show as closed from http://www.yougetsignal.com/tools/open-ports/
and show "connection timed out" from canyouseeme.org

Nothing I have tried seems to be working, I swear there is a program or something blocking the port or stopping it from opening but I just don't know where to look anymore. Please help me b4 I hurt something.

Hey; I was having a very similar problem to yours, that seemed to be unable to be fixed. I managed to fix mine by turning off Port Triggering... aside from that, I don't know what else you might try.

I actually figured out what the problem was. My computer thought it would be funny to disconnect then reconnect the my router over and over causing my internal ip to change constantly (I'm to lazy to set up a static ip) but once I got it to stop doing that I set up the port forwarding and now it works just fine.

There is a way to make it so your internal ip is a static ip(the same ip every time) whenever you connect to your router. Honestly for me it was easier to just change the 3 port forwarding configurations I had to the new ip address than having to go and make all the changes to make my ip static since my internal ip is most often the same, and a setting up an internal static ip may actually cause an issue or two if you input something wrong. Although it's easily fixable. If you feel like you need to have the static ip because you don't want to have that issue or if you're on a router with several other computers/devices then go here and choose your OS and it should walk you through setting up a static ip.
