We have had many discussions on ram makers and quality and I just came across this interesting listing of ram manufacturers and their chip sources I thought I would share with you all.

Interestingly enough, the poor makers use the poorest quality brand chips, probably why their ram performs so badly.

Informative list but there is more to RAM Modules than the chips.
RAM chips, as with GPU chips, are only as good as the other materials and craftsmanship used to complete the product.

Very true but I found it interesting that you and I once disagreed on Crucial vs GSkill and evidently the chips at least are the same origin which could also explain why I have had equally good experience with it since I listened to you and started trying some!

That's why I compared RAM chips to GPU chips. ATI & Nvidia both make excellent chips but there can be a big difference in the quality & reliability once those chips are applied to a final product.

Oh I couldn't agree more. That's what makes the same chip video card by say a Zotac vs Evga or Xfx a piece of junk by Zotac or Leadtec.
