Please I need help. this is happening to me. I m trying to test my motherboard out of the case. The motherboard turn on, but I Realize that the bios dont boot up.
im not sure if is a video card problem because my monitor screen seem off (Orange Led)

but anyway it had to at least see the keyboard and cd rom led Blinkin (Right?) but even that is not happening , so i thing the bios is not loading.

I Tryed the cpu in another board But i had the same problem
the board turn on but nothing happen.

another thing : I dont heard any bios beep.

Even when take off the ram and cpu does'nt make any beep noise

Could be The Athlon xp-M the guilty?

especifications:

DFI Lanparty Ultra 2 B socket A
Mobile AMD Athlon™ XP-M (Desktop replacement cpu)
3 sick of Ram 400MhZ / (512 each)
Ati Radeon 9250 Agp 4x \8x with 128 Mb ddr memory
ATX 300Watts Power Supply

Thanks in Advance. :4-dontkno

as I recall the mobile processor uses less voltage than a desktop processor

my "guess" is the bios is not auto detecting your proceesor correctly / therefore its not getting the correct voltage to make it fire-up >>>>> I would dare say you will have to get a desktop cpu for that board ???

have you tried clearing your cmos / at least that would force a re-detection of the cpu ????

Mmm I think you are right man, the guilty is the processor i guess.
cause this is happening with 2 boards using the same XP-M cpu.
and yes i cleared the cmos.

I have a question: I know when you take out the ram from any motherboard is soppost to make a beep. Right?

but both board dont do it , no matter if they have or not the ram sick's.

thats why i suspect of the cpu.

thanks very much i think that you give me the solution
