If you're reading this, you most likely realize I am soon to be in the market for a new external drive ^.^
I'm looking for suggestions. My budget is under $175, and I want something that is at least 1tb. I can't do any online stores (so rule out newegg and the like), so only stores like walmart, target, bestbuy, office depot..
But a few things, I've found a 1tb drive for $160 that supports firewire. I'm not really sure if firewire is worth it. I've never had anything that supports firewire, but do have two plugs for it. Would it be worth more to spend a little more for it, or ust get usb 3.0 or 2.0? Is usb 3.0 backwards compatible with 2.0? Because my computer doesn't have any 3.0 slots..
Here are some I'm looking at
Seagate 1tb, $85
WD 2tb, $140
Iomega 1tb, firewire, $160
-After a little more searches, target, bestbuy and office depot seem to have the same brands for the same price-
