Had a quick search but found nothing i could use..

The battery in my Dell Studio 1558 died yesterday :)frown:) so i'll need to buy a new one.

Don't really want to spend £130 to get it directly from Dell, and the things i'm reading about cheaper battery's hasn't helped.

So to the one's i've found.

One from Amazon

Ebay

Will either of those ruin/blow up my laptop? Anyone tried either?

How about from here ?

Thanks

Hi I would advise getting a oem battery from dell not all after market ones work to well and some won't at all did you check the battery label for the exact info there are a couple you can choose
56 WHr 6-Cell Lithium-Ion Battery for Dell Studio 15 (1535)/ 1536/ 1537/ 1555/ 1557/ 1558 Laptops which is $135.99 or £87.88

85 WHr 9-Cell Lithium-Ion Battery for Dell Studio 15 (1535)/ 1536/ 1537/ 1555/ 1557/ 1558 Laptops $155.99 or £100.80 from dell.com

the dell uk site £124.79 for the 6cell only I wonder if you can order it from the .com site or if you had a relative in the USA they could then send it.
other than that I would use amazon simply beacause I have used it many times without a problem

Thanks for the advice. I'll stick with a Dell battery.

Annoyingly the UK site only sells 6 cell batteries and the US a 6 and 9 cell. Would have liked a bigger battery. Don't know anyone in the US to get it shipped to either.
