When I click one tab, they all go!

Hi,
I have IE7.
When I click on one of the tabs, sometimes all the tabs disappear, leaving me back to my desktop.
This didn't used to happen... any suggestions?
I've run spybot, ad-aware and Norton Int. Sec... they don't show a problem...
Any suggestions?

Problem resolved - it was a tollbar add-on

Problem fixed:
I have cable internet, which had been playing up, so I installed a dial-up disc... which had a toolbar... Once I disabled the toolbar, all works fine now.
