I have been noticing a problem with Vista when extracting a zip file. For example, I just downloaded and tried to extract a 337kb zip, and it took Vista almost *3 minutes* to extract the file. Processor useage also shot up. This is not the first time I have seen this. What's up?? Forgive me if this a duplicate topic...

please run a Windows update for Vista, it is an issue under RTM that it takes lot of time to delete or Copy a smaller file... however Patch has been reasled for it ...

So please run Windows update for Vista, Click the Start button, click All Programs, and then click Windows Update

But having said that I would also point that do note, if you are extracting any high compressed file, then it will take time for the system to decompress it !!!
