Hello...I have a Dell laptop running Windows 7 Home Premium. The computer is only 2 years old but is out of warranty. Recently I started getting an intermittent problem with the sound coming out of my speakers while playing audio files, or AV files. It is a "buzzing" sound, like a paused extended note for a short burst, sometimes just a blip, other times it last a whole second. If I am watching video w/audio, the screen seems to pause also as long as the sound lasts. If I am listening to say, a 5 minute song, it may buzz 3-7 times in that song, never in any order or space between, just random. Getting very annoying!

Steps I have taken so far:

Updated drivers for IDT audio
Ran diagnostics on the Dell site for performance~all PASSED!
Deleated and reinstalled Adobe Flash

Now I don't know if I have a software or hardware problem!!!!!

Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Test with headphones to rule out a hardware/speaker issue. But most likely the audio chipset is failing. No easy way to confirm hardware, without ruling out software first (ie: fresh OS install, new driver install).
