I think it's just 'win'

I'm pretty sure if you put win at the end of autoexec.bat, it'll load up automatically on starting.

it's giving me a bad command error :(

the windows startup screen starts and then it puts me back to the c:/, and nothing works, not even format c:

Have you tried deleting the partition and starting over with a fresh install of windows?

that's what i'm attempting to do, this was an old harddrive of mine that i thought that i could use to format my other harddrive (since the windows installation there is corrupt), but it appears this one may be corrupt as well

i don't have a bootable windows installation cd, or a disk drive that works, i think i'm screwed
