Hey truthseeker

Hows things?

Open Office is more an alternative to Microsoft Office, it does all the basic level's of word processing without the extra memory and spam that comes with Microsoft Office

Where as Go's Open Office is partly an embedded Visio structure which allows more flexability to the structure of your page. It also allows you to import straight from the Microsoft Office format where as you cannot in Open Office

Appart from the additional graphics wizard in Go they are pretty much similar after that

I would prefer to use

Go Open Office

Hi Craig, I am well, thanks for asking.

What does "embedded Visio structure" mean?

And I can import MS Office documents into OpenOffice, so why do you say it's not possible to do so?

Well "embedded Visio structure" ....
Visio is a design feature and its incorporated into GO Open Office which means you get a to add and alter graphics to the word document, to a certain extent its almost like photoshoping a picture but in a word doc

What i also mean when i say about importing from office, in Open Office its imported from Microsoft Office but you can see the structure of the page adjust slightly and sometimes i feel as if it looks different, when you import in GO Open Office it retains the exact document that you see in Microsoft Office the structure remains intact. GO Open Office adjusts around the document.

I downloaded and tried to install Go-oo. But it stopped 2 seconds into it and said that I already have OpenOffice 2.4 installed.

You didn't tell me that these 2 packages use the SAME Openoffice 2.4.
To be honest i didn't know until i updated Open Office after reading your reply lmao

I apologise

I have started downloading extra packages for Go and Open Office, i will post back with a small review of the extended packs

I already have OpenOffice installed, so Go-oo wouldn't install for me saying I already have Openoffice installed. So I was surprised as I didn't know they used the same package.

So why is Go-oo offered when it's just the same as Openoffice? You mean Go-oo has some extra packs? But if that's the case, I wonder why they wont even allow me to install it, because the installation stops after 2 seconds saying I already have it installed when I don't, as I have Openoffice installed.

You know what I mean. :)
