Sorry, i have no idea about ram, but what is a good speed? (Mhz) and how do i find out what RAM my system needs?
also what does pc2700 & pc3200 etc. etc. mean?

You will get whatever speed RAM your system takes. Anything faster, and it will only run as fast as your motherboard will support. Anthing slower, and it will just run at that speed. The PC number refers to the bandwidth in MB/s. So PC3200 RAM will have a theoretical bandwidth of 3200 MB/s, or 3.2 GB/s. Just keep in mind that because of latencies, the RAM will never actually achieve this bandwidth.
