A while ago one of my clients asked me this question and I had no answer for it. Does anyone know what does this mean or is it true at all?

Yep. With dedicated hosting you have the resources of an entire physical server. In other words, you are not be sharing server resources, including its IP address, with any other users.
On a shared hosting environment you are also sharing your IP address with any other websites on the same server.
On a shared hosting environment you are also sharing your IP address with any other websites on the same server.
shared IP is clear dude. it means if someone else sends spam emails for example everyone on that IP will be blacklisted 😁 and that will create major problems for the other users. However, there are some companies that can give you Only dedicated IPs.
