Hello,
I have an older HP Pavilion with Windows XP on it. I want to upgrade it to make it a lot faster, and was wondering what I should upgrade. I want to be doing a lot of gaming on it and right now it isn't doing so well with that.

2gigs of RAM
2 CPU's at 1.86GHz each
NVidia GeForce 7300 LE

What here is worth upgrading to get a better machine?

Any input would be great!

Hello and Welcome to TSF!!!

We need more information about your PC...
Tell us what make/model is your Motherboard and PSU???

I would say that graphic card is bottleneck and you should get yourself a new and better one...
But we must know if graphic card is PCIe or AGP...

How old is PC???
maybe it is worth buying a new one instead making this one better...

Keep us posted...

In order to answer your questions and all future questions, I have attached the DxDiag file.

As for how old the computer is, I would say around 5-6 years old. I only wish I was able to afford a new machine at the moment, but that just isn't possible.

Is the computer in question a lap top or desk top tower? Your dxdia says your comp is HP Pavilion 061 and after searching it comes up with lap tops' If this is a laptop then the video card is out of the question along with the psu. I would contact hp about what kind of upgrades your computer can take.
