Hey guys. I have an Acer Aspire 5532 series and I want to factory reset it. I've followed all the guidelines I could but I just can't factory reset this thing. Apparently whoever had this computer before managed to damage the partition drive where the recovery software is usually located. Also, the BIOS menu is password protected so I can't do the other methods that I've found.

Besides buying a recovery disc, it seems like my only option is to try and recover the Recovery disc partition. What I've noticed is that the main C: drive takes up 70 GB while the D: drive takes up around 4 GB, meaning there's something there but for some reason the computer can't access it.

Is there a program out there that could fix this for me, and if so, is there anyone here that can help me utilize that program to fix my problem?

Due to Forum rules, we cannot assist you in Bios Password circumvention.
If the Recovery Partition is corrupted or formatted, there is nothing you can do for that either.
If you contact Acer, Acer Store | Buy Laptops, Ultrabooks, Tablets, Monitors & more you may be able to get a Recovery CD from them for a nominal fee. if you can prove you are the owner, and they also may help you with the Bios Password.
As for what is on the C: drive, It probably is the Hidden System Volume Information folder. This is the System Restore folder. You can limit the size of System Restore to save space.
To find out what is taking up the space, use Space Sniffer.

If the data is corrupted, Or the partition is formatted, no software in the world is going to restore it so that you can restore your computer to factory settings again These software programs are designed to help you recover lost files and partitions and help you recover any files off of your computer.
But don't let me stop you from trying.
