what debugger is running?

i'm trying to run a media conversion application but it can't b/c it says there is a debugger program running. how do i find it? and how do i stop it?

Close all your other programs before trying it again.

Also check the processes in the 'Task manager' you get there by using CTRL-ALT-DEL.

What program are you using?

Are you running any developer tools?

More info would be helpful.
Look in Services for Machine DeBug Manager and stop the service from running.

Many people think that dr watson was gone was retired but it is not. You may need to do some search on dr watson in xp.
Disable Drwtsn - http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;188296 You may also want to try going to start, control panel, system, advanced tab, error reporting and check disable error reporting.
i disabled the error reporting and deleted the dr. watson key in the registry and it didn't help.
