Sounds like a problem I had while trying to keep a client updated with his projects using ftp overnight. After a great deal of troubleshooting and stress it turned out to be the service provider disconnecting our connection over night. Very sly. Needless to say we changed service providers.
Weird
One of our people have a problem, he leaves his laptop on at night and when he wakes up, he cannot get out to the internet. Nothing works on port 443 or 80. He is able to ping, and I am able to dial in. Nothing works. He has run all of the basic spyware cleaners and it all appears good. Now, when he reboots, it works correctly.
If anyone has heard of this or know what it is, please reply. If you think it is viral or spyware, then I am just going to format his HDD.
