For quite a while now I have been getting strange patterns appearing in graphic pictures and text mainly in browsers both ie9 and firefox.
Initially I thought it was the Graphics card a 6850 so i changed it for another and no difference. Replaced the motherboard and memory (upgraded to DDR3)
and no difference. Now what ever the problem is it never affects the screen icons or the ones in the task bar. I run Thunderbird and more often than not the characters turn green and sometimes when I run the mouse over they change back to black but not always, it is not consistent.
I do not have another monitor to check but I suppose it is the obvious next step.

Managed to borrow another monitor and the fault is just the same.

Its just got to be software to my mind. Having said that i did try an earlier version of the catalyst suite and the problem was the same.
perhaps I should pass this one over to AMD !!
