When i play combat arms I randomly get FPS lag and it drops down to like 10 fps.
I noticed that any placable item makes the fps drop ( medic packs , autoturrents and etc)


I have reinstalled windows, reinstalled the game, defragementing, checked my cpu/mobo/gpu/HD tempatures , installed the latest drivers and patchs, disabled anti-virus and firewalls, checked for virus's/adware, checked processing errors and benchmarked my system.

This really doesn't make any sense. Why would a piece of crap game like combat arms cause the game to lag? I can play MW2, Just Cause , Battlefield BC2 and other more graphic intense games with high settings and stay above 40 fps. I can play on any resolution in ca with low/med/high detail and it will drop the fps into the teens.

Hi and welcome to TSF, i3ond!

Normally, I would blame this on Nexon's faulty servers. However, since you are mentioning FPS lag, I doubt that it's Nexon's fault. But, just so we can rule out that the lag is server-side, do you lag more/less depending on which server or room you play on?

Also, have you tried lowering all your settings to low? What I find odd is that your PC would be able to run Combat Arms, plus tax.

Also what are you running as far as CPU,Video card and ram? What are you running in the backround?

Trust me you are not the only person who experiences lag in CA, I had a similar problem with lag and I thought it was my ISP which it turns out that OCing my RAM game me a huge boost in performance. Try OCing your graphics card by like 20-30 mhz in Catalyst Control Center using the Overdrive tool, you might also try going into your BIOS and do a little tweaking and see if thats helps. For example, you could up your multiplier until you hit 3.5Ghz and try bumping up your BUS speed by like 10-15. Hope this info helps because it worked for me.
