Recently we purchased a new Sony VAIO VGN-BX297XP laptop with a max screen res of 1920 x 1200 Pixels (17 inch) and are having problems with internet explorer i have tried upgrading to IE7 it makes no difference and have ran some updates. Some webpages are too small to read, i.e notably www.bbc.co.uk and www.skysports.com the page is small and so is the text it doesn't even fill half the browser window. Other pages i.e msn and yahoo are ok. The spec of the laptop is below I have already tried adjusting the text sizes in explorer and in control panel but neither has had a positive effect. Can anyone think of anything that maybe helpful?

Look in the bottom right of the IE 7 window. You will see a plus sign in a magnifying glass and 100%. You can use this to zoom in and out on IE. Click on the triangle next to it and choose the best size for this page.

Thanks it is easier to read but its still not quite right, you get the same problem in any window e.g in outlook when you open an email the text is too small. I can't help thinking it has something to do with the resolution but i have tried changing this.
