hey guys, I have a problem I never had before. I just built my own computer and I am having problems getting online. Webpages will pop up fast but it will take 5 minutes or more for my homepage to load (Google). I am on a 10mbs. Not sure what the problem could be, when I reboot webpages will be fine for about 10 minutes or so.

maybe a browse issue rather than anything you've not done in building your pc.
If you're using internet explorer, try mozilla firefox.

How long ago did you build your pc.. it might be a slightly bogged down registry that's slowing that side of things...

Are you running your torrent downloader when this happens?
You may have to change some of its settings, depending on what you got. Some tend to have an option to prioritise over other things for faster downloads.

Sounds like you've got a good connection...so it can't be anything majorly wrong.

I am using Firefox, I also tried IE, same happens. I also have utorrent but I can shut that down and keep it off when I reboot and still webpages will get slow. You are right though, its not anything big since I can download at over 1mb per second and upload when these pages are very slow.

Oh...I wonder if it's a graphics issue then...
A lot of services are turned off or reduced in safe mode so that explains why you're getting fast browser loads there.

Have you got the latest java/flash/graphics card etc etc updates and drivers?
It might just be as simple as few little tweaks here and there.
